I lurve reading erotica. If not for the titillating scenes and word play, erotica is good for a laugh or two. Everyone and their aunt and uncle (albeit on the sly) has by now read the ‘50 shades’ book set and even maybe sleeping beauty trilogy by Anne Rice.
More wide and well-read readers turned their nose up and most were heard to say “Pah! You call that erotica!? Why not read THE SLEEPING BEAUTY TRILOGY and see where it all started and how a good tale should be told.
Well, I did and I do refer 50 Shades trilogy a titillating read and while although this review is not for that book I found the part where he submitted to Ana the turning point for me (review to come later).
Sleeping Beauty trilogy on the other hand made me question the line that separates erotica from pornography and the level of pain you have to go through to just ‘get it’ Now gentle reader, hold on to your bon bons as I calm down and give you the breakdown of Sleeping Beauty trilogy.
She and other sex servants were spanked on their bottom through all 3 books. The End.
Good, right? Over 800 pages crammed into one line. My best work to date, if I may say so.
Having read several books by Anne Rice, I’ve come to notice that her storytelling tactic is reading in-between the lines and in so doing, ignoring the scenery and just watching the road ahead to get to your destination.
Sleeping Beauty trilogy is a rich princess who decides to give it all up to follow her beloved into sexual servitude forsaking all else to be with him. As the story rollicks along, you find that Beauty is growing and changing as she and Tristan who in my opinion enjoys the delicious gay couplings a little too much to still be called bisexual.
By the end of all three books, you will have finally gotten over the shock of all the spanking and whipping, sexual variations and sex toys thrust upon your unsuspecting person. To see the story for what it is – a coming of age tale that took too damn long to come together.
Take an afternoon off and enjoy this book, my advice, enjoy the erotic bits freely without judgement, you just might learn a thing or two about yourself. Read another great review here >>>>
